On June 20, 2009 we gathered at David Ward's beautiful "Railroad Estate" in Mt. Pleasant. We began the day looking at all the railroadiana and other displays in and around David's workshop. Before we got started, Dave Chance presented achievement program awards to Gil Brauch (Electrical Engineer) and our host, David Ward (Scenery). After that, we got down to 'business' -- the business of putting together a small laser cut structure. For most of us it was the first time working in this medium. All that 'heavy lifting' made us hungry, so lunch came next. David and Debbie (his best train buddy!) put on quite a spread for us. After lunch we sallied forth to the train room and held an operating session on David's Boulder and Western Railway. Long trains and high train frequency were the orders of the day. Our thanks to David and Debbie for hosting us in a grand manner for this event. Here are photos of the day's activities. Photos contributed by Gil Brauch |
